Message from our NYC YLB Coordinator Jaryanna Rivera:

Hi my name is Jary Rivera and I am the YLB Coordinator for S.O.U.L Sisters Leadership Collective in New York City. S.O.U.L Sisters is a youth leadership organization for girls, femmes and gender nonconforming youth of color. Our goal is for our youth to develop skills in leadership, community organizing, fundraising, and more. This is a 10-month program from October 2018 – July 2019. YLB members will receive stipends, MetroCards, and food!

As a YLB alumna, my message to you is: be excited to have Sisters!

My YLB Sisters  and I all came from different backgrounds from all over NYC. We connected through our passion to make this world better for women, girls, femmes, and gender nonconforming youth of color like yourself! What drew me to S.O.U.L Sisters is the “for girls by girls” message.

S.O.U.L Sisters promotes social justice through activism through sisterhood and bonding. If you have an idea of how to make this world better for you and other women, girls, femme, and gender nonconforming folks, then I highly recommend joining the Youth Leaders Board! Find your sisters who are just as dedicated and devoted to making change happen.
