In October, members of the NYC Youth Leaders Board and participants of the CAMBA Sisterhood Academy attended a performance of nicHi Douglas’s Black Girl Magic Show!, an absurdist dance theatre lecture on Black female identity. After an enjoyable and thought-provoking performance, the show’s cast and crew answered questions from the audience, and the S.O.U.L. Sisters youth got a photo with playwright/performer nicHi Douglas (sister of S.O.U.L. Sisters’ very own Wakumi Douglas!)
