Ujima: Celebrating Community Through Art!

S.O.U.L. Sisters Leadership Collective invites you to our virtual art reveal and open house event.

May 2, 2022 @ 6 – 7pm

Link will be provided upon registration

Ujima means collective work and responsibility and this year we are celebrating our local community (s)heroes through art and storytelling about justice movements. We will reveal collaborative art pieces created by a Miami-based youth Visual Artist and participants of the Ujima program that was powered by Black Girls Matters Coalition and Resistance Communication.

The event will include:

  • Artwork reveal
  • Conversation with the artist and participants
  • Learn more about SSLC summer program, Girls Design Camp
  • Celebrate in community and in support of Black and Brown girls, femmes, and TGNC young people.
  • Giveaways
  • Learn about ways to collaborate, support our work and get involved.
  • Good Vibez!

This event is a part of the Radical Partners’ 10 Days of Connection challenge – a time for breaking down silos, engaging in acts of connection, and celebrating differences through virtual, hybrid, or in-person events that build empathy, increase understanding, and refocus on our shared humanity.

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out to our Social Enterprise Manager Alexis Hyatt at alexis@soulsistersleadership.org.
